Emory & Henry Tennis Receives ITA Academic Honors

ITA Scholar-Athletes must be a varsity letterwinner and carry at least a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year. Additionally, each student-athlete must be enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters. To be an ITA All-Academic Team, the cumulative team grade point average must exceed 3.20 for the current academic year.

Blue & Golden Globes Award Winner

The Blue & Golden Globes is an awards ceremony for student-athletes at Emory & Henry College. Winners are chosen by the faculty, staff, and student-athlete advisory committee. Various awards are presented to dedicated, hard-working individuals in the athletic family. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Blue & Golden Globes was hosted virtually on the Emory & Henry Athletics social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

NFF's Hampshire Honor Society

The Emory & Henry College Football Team has seen six of its players chosen to the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society. It is the second-most selections in program history, just behind the team's seven picks for the 2011-12 and 2013-14 academic years. The Wasps have seen 38 players recognized across the past nine seasons. Across all Old Dominion Athletic Conference schools, 16 different players were honored, with Emory & Henry's six selections leading the way. Each player will receive a certificate in acknowledgement of their accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom. Congratulations to all recipients!

Chi Alpha Sigma

The Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics in conjunction with Chi Alpha Sigma (XA), the National College Athlete Honor Society, has announced the members of the inaugural induction class for the organization's "Virginia Xi Chapter." The 30 individuals selected represent 13 different sports and hail from 10 different states. The Intermont Equestrian program leads the way with eight honorees while the baseball, women's basketball, football, women's soccer and softball teams have also seen multiple student-athletes inducted into the group.

2019-20 Scholar-Athletes Of The Year

The Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the scholar-athletes for the 2019-20 academic year. These awards go to the junior or senior on each team with the highest cumulative grade point average (3.0 minimum) as of the fall semester of the academic year. These students exemplified excellence both in the classroom, and in their uniforms. Congratulations to all award recipients!

Local Student-Athletes Begin Exciting Basketball Season at E&H

Emory & Henry Women's Basketball team has tipped off its 2013-14 season, and the Lady Wasps are excited to get the program back to winning. The Lady Wasps were chosen to finish ninth in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference by the twelve head coaches in the league. A highlight of the 2013-2014 schedule for Emory & Henry's women basketball team is their winter break tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. called the Cruzin' Classic. On this trip the team will play two games and participate in a three day team bounding cruise to the Bahamas. Those cruising with the Wasps this season include:
